Registration will begin at 9 a.m., zombie costume judging is to be at 9:45 a.m., and the first flight of zombie survivalists is to hit the course at 10 a.m.

Plus, supporters of the Seneca County Park District plan open houses at preserves in the county system, the Harvest Fest returns to Miller Farm Oct. 8 and Riehm Farm continues to offer barnyard fun and a corn maze.

At this rate, the ensuing holiday season may seem sedate by comparison.
